Remember 2005? Everything was so easy. YouTube was born, Disneyland turned 50 and Bloc Party released seminal album Silent Alarm. It was the record which propelled Kele Okereke and co. into the upper echelons of indie rock stardom, spurning hit after hit and becoming the soundtrack millions of teenage lives. You only have to hear the start of popular single Helicopter to transport yourself right back to your bedroom, playing FIFA. Last night, Bloc Party transported 4,500 fans back to that nostalgic period as they performed Silent Alarm in full alongside other hits. Middle Kids joined them, and Jack Parker checked it out.
