Ellie Goulding to Record New James Bond Theme?

The last months have seen rife speculation in regards to who is set to record the theme tune for Spectre, the 24th film in the James Bond series. All the signs are currently pointing to vocalist Ellie Goulding, and now the singer herself has spoken out. Find out what she had to say after the jump.

The last Bond movie to be released, 2012′s hugely successful Skyfall, saw Adele sing its equally successful theme song. Ever since then, the one thing on most minds is who will carry the torch for October’s Spectre. Most of the usual suspects, such as Muse, have popped up along the way, yet it seems that the preferred choice is pop singer Goulding. In a recent Instagram post, the singer was pictured leaving the famous Abbey Road Studios alongside the caption, “it’s a wrap”. Abbey Road was the same studio where Adele recorded Skyfall, and Goulding has been a hot favourite ever since her contribution to the 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack, Love Me Like You Do, skyrocketed. Check out the post below.

According to Spectre director Sam Mendes, the song will be unveiled sooner rather than later, well ahead of October’s film release. Do you think that Ellie Goulding is right for the job? Let us know through Facebook!

Spectre, starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, comes out on October 26.
