Linkin Park have been working on new music according to bassist Dave Farrell.

In a recent interview with Dan Really Likes Wine, the musician told host Dan Nicholl that he and the band’s surviving members had been working on new music before the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world as we know it.

Speaking over Zoom, Farrell said: “At this point right now globally we’re trying to do a version of the same thing. Stay home and stay as healthy as possible. For us, with the band, we’ve been writing and doing all that before this all started. Casually at this point, we’re doing Zoom meetings to eat lunch together and say ‘hi’ but we’re not able to get together and write. So working at home a little bit and working on ideas.”

It’s been nearly three years since co-frontman Chester Bennington took his own life, with Linkin Park’s future having been up in the air ever since. Now, though, it looks like Farrell has provided fans with some clarity regarding what could possibly come next.
