There isn’t an awful lot which is able to stop Parisian outfit Phoenix from performing at the top of their game. When they do, they’re most definitely a well-oiled machine who fire on all cylinders at maximum ability. New album Ti Amo is an incendiary collection of groove-laden music which once again hammers home the band’s ability to produce slick, funky pop music in a futuristic jacket fit for stages the world over. Last night, their infectious live show (which you could call a full-blown experience by now) stopped off at a packed Ancienne Belgique in the heart of Brussels. Dewi Mik went to check it out.
