When the Dutch Pinkpop Festival announced that pop superstar Justin Bieber would form out part of the line-up, many raised their eyebrows and opted to jump ship and skip a year. This announcement made way for a 2017 line-up which could either have been considered their poppiest or weakest in years, further featuring repeat headliners Green Day and Kings of Leon. The festival ended up nowhere near sold out, but this didn’t stand in the way of Pinkpop being just the way they always are: fun, straightforward and never short of something to do.
