Legendary musician Stevie Wonder has been unveiled as brand ambassador for Specsavers.
The American icon was announced as the face of the eyewear brand earlier today in what some will see as a controversial move, given his age.
Speaking of the announcement, Specsavers said: “At first we were very superstitious about Wonder’s enthusiasm to work with Specsavers, but after much deliberation and stiff competition from the likes of Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger, we decided to pick an ambassador no one quite saw coming.”
In a separate statement, Stevie Wonder said: “I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it”.
