Tom DeLonge: “A return to Blink-182 will only take a few phone calls”

Former Blink-182 co-frontman Tom DeLonge, who was unceremoniously kicked out of the band this year, has discussed a possible return to the pop-punk trio. In a recent interview, he claimed that it wouldn’t take more than “a few phone calls” to rejoin the band he started with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker.

DeLonge, who has since gone solo, was recently part of a Q&A at the 2015 edition of San Diego’s Comic Con when one attendee asked about his future with Hoppus and Barker. When asked what it would take to record music with Blink-182 again, he reportedly said it would require just “a few phone calls”.

This relaxed reaction to the whole Blink saga is a far cry from the catcalls and bitch fights which muddied his attempts to clarify the situation earlier this year, meaning that DeLonge’s future has been up in the air ever since. Whether or not a return to Blink-182 would actually be so simple remains to be seen, especially considering DeLonge’s knack for over dramatization and sensationalization.

As it stands, Blink are goig forward with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba.
