You read that right. Slipknot recently fired longtime drummer and ultimate fan favourite Joey Weinberg to much controversy, with the identity of his replacement a secret, as is always the case when Slipknot whip out the banhammer on an old member.
Now, we can exclusively tell you that the iconic Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich will be donning the mask for Slipknot as their brand new drummer, already contributing to snare-heavy new studio recordings and giving all of the band’s previous drummers a run for their money.
As you’d expect, neither party has released a statement, but fans are sure to be excited at this joining of metal royalty.
