It’s safe to say that classics like Earth, Wind & Fire don’t come round very often, which makes it all the more special when they – four decades after their breakthrough – roll into town with a mouthwateringly funky live show. Last night, Amsterdam’s 1,000-capacity Q Factory played host to the Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, a live show helmed by Al McKay and which features seven of the seminal disco group’s thirteen original members. Together, they treated the near-packed to whole host of EW&F classics, including the sultry Fantasy, energetic Boogie Wonderland and all-round classic September. Jack Parker checked it out.
