FESTIVAL NEWS: Chic & Nile Rodgers, Khalid and More for North Sea Jazz

Rotterdam’s North Sea Jazz Festival has announced an impressive batch of first names for this summer’s edition.

The harbour city’s very own eclectic jazz bash will once again see the world’s greatest jazz, funk, hip hop and soul artists take to stages in and around the Ahoy, with previous editions featuring the likes of Stevie Wonder and Pat Smith’s Kwashibu Area Band.

This year, the likes of Chic & Nile Rodgers, Khalid and The O’Jays lead the first list of new names. Joining them are: Gary Clark Jr., Earth Wind & Fire, Gregory Porter & Metropole Orkest, Pharoah Sanders, Carla Bley, Marcus Miller, Hudson, Pat Metheny with Antonio Sanchez, Joshua Redman, Vijay Iyer Sextet and the Mingus Big Band.
