Festival season is over! Well, not completely, but as September approaches the time to descend back into the soothing confines of clubs and arenas edges ever nearer. With a whole host of exciting shows set to hit Dutch ground between now and the end of the year, we’ve decided to take a look and pick out four shows which you must get a ticket for.

Fancy yourself a bit of old-school pop punk infused with modern day indie pop and a hint of Orange County-rooted garage? Then get yourself down to the Paradiso’s central offshoot, Bitterzoet, on 14 September and watch the Becker brothers (below) and co. take on the famed sweatbox.
For fans of: Green Day, FIDLAR, weed

SLOWDIVE @ PARADISO, AMSTERDAM / 6 OCTOBER
Picture this: it’s October, and it won’t stop raining. You’re not looking to hit a rave, are you? Exactly, you’re looking for something along the lines of hypnotic vocal lines, soothing rhythms and onstage intensity. Slowdive, in that case, is the place to be.

OTHERKIN @ MELKWEG, AMSTERDAM / 3 NOVEMBER
Punk’s not dead, and if there’s one band who look set to prove that this year then it’s Irish quartet Otherkin. Their sharp and witty alt rock cuts are nothing short of fresh and exciting, having previously seen them the support the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Gotta be worth a ticket, right?
For fans of: VANT, Tigercub, raw punk

GOGOL BORDELLO @ MELKWEG, AMSTERDAM / 10 DECEMBER
We all love a good bit of gypsy punk, so what better way than prepare for the Christmas build-up than with a final knees up courtesy of New Yorkers Gogol Bordello. In company of their infectious melodies and mosh-ready missives should be the only place you find yourself on 10 December.
For fans of: La Pegatina, Dubioza Kolektiv, gypsy music
Tickets: 26 euros, available from this link.
