Metallica have announced an expansive list of American and Canadian tour dates.

The renowned metal veterans will present the United States’ finest indoor halls and velodromes with cuts from new studio album Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, which has already seen them travel the world once in its support alongside the likes of special guests Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat and Kvelertak.

Now, the quartet will spent another seven months on the North American roads as they take on cities which didn’t receive the Metallica treatment in 2017. Some of the cities they’ll appear in, among them Grand Forks and Sioux Falls, haven’t seen a live show by Metallica in up to three decades.

Comedian Jim Breuer will join the band at each show, hosting a special Light it Up pre-show party. Speaking of Breuer joining the tour, the band said: “Jim, along with a DJ to get the night rocking with some great tunes, hits the stage before the band with comedy, fan interaction, giveaways and much more“. This seems to allude to the fact that Metallica may not even invite a special guest on the road with them.
