Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has been found dead at the age of 48.
According to Weiland’s own Facebook page, the frontman passed away in his sleep on a tour bus which he shared with his band The Wildabouts. The band were curretly on tour throughout America, and had last performed in Europe two months ago. Rumour has it that Weiland was still addicted to drugs, something Weiland’s longtime friend Matt Pinfield inplied in a Facebook post.
Weiland found fame as frontman of Stone Temple Pilots, who achieved critical success with a spate of highly charting albums and singles in the 1990s. He also fronted Velvet Revolver, whom he formed with remaining members of Guns ‘n Roses. Now, Weiland was busy working on his own solo project Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts.
