Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Touches Down in Texas

It would be an understatement to say that Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour is one of the biggest tours in modern live music (if not the biggest). The megastar’s latest run of shows spans the entirety of the year, packing out stadiums across the United States with an array of special guests including Paramore, beabadoobee, Haim and Gracie Abrams. Last week, the tour stopped off at the NRG Stadium in Houston, TX.

Kicking off the 44-song set with a bandage on her hand (due to a cut during costume changes), Swift kicked off the set with Begin Again from early album Red, while also whipping out Cold As You, her self-proclaimed favourite song from her self-titled debut album. The show served as an emotional one for Taylor, whose grandma was from Houston and lived there until her passing. Houston also served as the city where Swift’s mother graduated, and where her parents got married. A second home, essentially.

The Eras tour is more than just a hit-filled concert (and yes, you name it: she played it). It’s an event where Swift fans from across the country showcased their creativity by means of signs, outfits, friendships bracelets and the like. It’s a long show – three hours if you’re lucky – so stay hydrated and be ready to lose your voice.
