You’re probably already aware of the fact that America is the place to be for all alternative bands during the summer months, what with the massive Vans Warped Tour trekking across the country between June and August. Somewhere in the midst of this comes the scene’s own equivalent of the Oscars of GRAMMYs: the APMAs, which are fueled by Monster Energy, sponsored by Journeys (who also sponsor the Warped Tour) and hosted by international music magazine Alternative Press. Last night, the fourth edition took place at the KeyBank State Theater in Ohio’s picturesque Cleveland. The cream of the alternative scene’s crop showed up for the star-studded ceremony, which saw the likes of Pierce the Veil, Panic! at the Disco and Waterparks all go home with prestigious awards. Ahead of the ceremony, bands from across the full alternative spectrum made their way up and down the red carpet to strut their stuff in front of media from across the US and globe. Christian Sarkine made his way to Ohio to capture everything that went down on the red carpet.
