It was a great year for music, but it’s safe to say that 2024 was nothing short of a dominant year for pop, reflected in the dominance of a new wave of powerhouses like Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx and Chappell Roan. Their respective releases had a gigantic influence on pop culture (hello, brat summer), leaving a lasting impact which is set to continue on through 2025 and beyond. That’s not all we enjoyed in 2024, though. Today we introduce our favourite albums of the last twelve months, featuring spectacular debut efforts, rock solid comebacks and the odd trajectory-changing record.
