The Big Lowlands Countdown: 3 Days to Go

It’s now just three days to go until Lowlands Festival opens its doors to some 50,000 rabid revellers. Earlier this week, we listed five moments to expect in Biddinghuizen, and yesterday we introduced you to four Dutch acts worth checking out. For the third instalment of our countdown, we’ve picked out three songs which will most definitely become absolute anthems during and long after Lowlands. You know, the kind of track that you hear live once and stays embedded within your mind until another memorable banger comes along. They may not necessarily be big, instantly recognizable tracks either; rather, you’ll find that the biggest anthems tend to be the most unlikely suspects. Have a listen to them below.

TOM ODELL – MAGNETISED
Memorable lyric: “They say there’s mother nature in everything we see / Wish I had a little mother nature in me”

NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS – IF I HAD A GUN…
Memorable lyric: “Excuse me if I spoke too soon, my eyes have always followed you around the room”

PARKWAY DRIVE – WILD EYES
Memorable lyric: None needed, just wail along to its addictive chanted hook.

Lowlands (aka A Campingflight to Lowlands Paradise) takes place from 19-21 August at Evenemententerrein Walibi World in Biddinghuizen, Holland. There are still some 5,000 tickets left, and you can grab one here. Check out our playlist filled with Lowlands recommendations below.
