Our friends at the 013 in Tilburg have revealed that they welcomed a record amount of visitors through their doors last year.
In 2017, the venue saw a total of 310,000 people attend at least one of approximately 300 different events. This is an 18% increase compared to 2016, when 262,000 revellers made their way through 013’s doors. The significant increase in visitors is in part down to the venue’s 2015 renovation, which saw the main room upgraded to a capacity of 3,000, with the smaller Jupiler Zaal making space for 700 visitors.

In a post to their website, the venue also adds that 12% of visitors (just upwards of 31,000 people) came from overseas to attend shows and festivals, amongst them the internationally-minded Roadburn Festival. The doom metal bash attracted visitors from some 55 countries, with international revellers making up 67% of the overall festival attendance.
The news comes on the back of a big year for the venue, having hosted the likes of Lorde, A Day to Remember, The Prodigy, Korn and Alt-J on its two stages over the course of 2017. This year, the venue will welcome the likes of At the Drive-In, Limp Bizkit and Netsky in what looks set to be another big twelve months for the 013.
