It’s 31 December, which can only mean one thing! Well, two things. Firstly, a small matter of leaving 2024 behind us, and secondly it’s also this website’s little old birthday. As is customary, I like to write a little bit on this fine and windy day about the last twelve months, which were by all means a pretty solid year for All Things Loud and a bloody brilliant year for (live) music.
It was a year which solidified our shift into primarily live coverage, bringing you coverage of great gigs in venues as big as the iconic Madison Square Garden and as small as your favourite local club. Our team – expertly co-ordinated by the wonderful Marc Prodanovic – also covered some of Europe and America’s biggest festivals (including Primavera Sound, Lowlands and Jera on Air, where we media partnered again), and it’s safe to say they smashed it on all fronts yet.
We also brought you interviews with the likes of Geordie Greep and The Snuts, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Donny Benét’s live show, among other things. In 2025 I hope we can do that and a lot more again for you, perhaps with a bit more video content and maybe even our first proper venture into making sense of TikTok’s dreaded algorithm. Who knows!
