It’s that time of year again. After eleven months of stellar releases, sublime comebacks and surprise stars, it’s time to take a look at the fifty records which we believe are the year’s best. It’s always difficult compiling a list which many feel is subject to personal opinion, so this year we’ve shaken up our categorisation and scoring processes once again in order to present you with the most neutrally balanced Top 50 we’ve had to date. Another thing we’re keeping consistent with last year is the explanation process behind each placement. Instead of giving you an entire paragraph explaining why we’ve made a particular choice, we’re going to leave you with each respective record’s key song.
