Cage the Elephant to Release New Album in December

American rock quartet Cage the Elephant have confirmed that they will release their fourth studio album this coming December. Tell Me I’m Pretty, which was produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, will come out on 18 December.

The album was recorded in Nashville, TN at the Easy Eye Sound studio. The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach served on production duties, working with the band as they created the follow-up to 2013′s Melophobia. Frontman Matt Shultz had the following to say about the album:

With this record, we wanted to be more transparent. We wanted to capture the sentiment of each song, and whatever emotional response it provoked, to be really honest to that.

The album is available to pre-order through Pledge Music, with other special features available as well. According to the album’s PledgeMusic page, Tell Me I’m Pretty combines “a rock & roll swagger reminiscent of some of the biggest and best bands from the 60s and 70s with a modern aesthetic”. Furthermore, “’Tell Me I’m Pretty’ is easily the band’s most adventuresome album to date.”
