Last night, Crown the Empire‘s mammoth European tour stopped off at the Melkweg OZ in Amsterdam for a night of boundary pushing metalcore, hardcore and alternative rock. The show – the last on their tour with Volumes and coldrain – served as somewhat of a celebration for Andy Leo and co., with the frontman at one point requesting shots from the bar before Volumes frontman Gus Farias came out and smashed a guitar to smithereens. It made for interesting scenes, essentially hammering home the huge sense of enjoyment Crown the Empire got from performing in Amsterdam. Joyce van Doorn checked it out.
