Coachella hopes to return in 2022 with a staggering, pop-heavy line-up. The California double weekender intends to return for once and for all this coming April following multiple pandemic-related postponements and cancellations.
In unveiling the line-up for this year’s edition, the festival has made a definite switch to influencer-worthy pop, rap and hip hop. The guitars are there, but you’ll have to look closely to find them. It’s not so much a seismic shift in sound as it is a logical progression for the festival, which will welcome headliners Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Ye this year.
Elsewhere on the line-up, Phoebe Bridgers will play one of her biggest festival shows to date following a massive couple of years. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, IDLES, black midi, Altin Gün and Yard Act are among the other exciting acts on this year’s poster, with Swedish House Mafia also returning to the iconic Polo grounds.
