Dutch metal festival FortaRock have announced the first seven names for their 2016 edition! The festival, which will yet again take place on a smaller scale to the previous edition, will take place on 5 June at the Goffertpark in Nijmegen.
Returning Danish heavyweights Volbeat will serve as headliners, with the American outfit Disturbed also appearing high up in the bill. Elsewhere, King Diamond will perform their classic record Abigail integrally, with Abbath, Dark Funeral, Windhand and Havok completing the first batch of names. More names will be announced in due course.
On Saturday, 4 June (the day before the festival), the Goffertpark will also serve as the location for the official FortaRock pre-party. Whether or not we can expect names of a high caliber to appear remains to be seen. Tickets for the festival go on sale Friday, 6 November. Click here for more details.
