Scottish art rockers Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a very special beach show.

Alex Kapranos and co. will take to Bloemendaal’s Woodstock beach on Wednesday, 5 September as part of the annual Woodstock69 summer series, which will further welcome Passenger in June and saw Jeremy Loops grace its stage last year.

The show comes in support of new album Always Ascending, which the band put out earlier this year. They took to Utrecht’s TivoliVredenburg in its support, with a festival set at Down the Rabbit Hole also slated for the end of next month. We spoke to drummer Paul Thomson ahead of the new album, and you can read that here.

Tickets for the band’s Bloemendaal show will set you back 42 euros and go on sale this week Friday (11 May) at 10am. Click here to get yours, and RSVP to the official Facebook event here.
