Following a relatively successful opening year, German partner festivals Rockavaria and Rock im Revier have announced that Iron Maiden will headline in 2016.

Festival organizers DEAG made the announcement this morning, also confirming that both weekenders will take place on 27, 28 and 29 May 2016. Iron Maiden recently released new studio album The Book of Souls to critical acclaim, and will tour it extensively next year. This includes a show at Arnhem’s GelreDome on 8 June.

Rockavaria will take place at Munich’s Olympiapark, whereas Rock im Review will take place in the German city of Gelsenkirchen. Early bird tickets for both festivals are on sale now, costing 125 euros for Rock im Review and 139 euros for Rockavaria. In 2015, the likes of Muse, Metallica and KISS all appeared.
