When was the last time you got excited by a new festival? And when was the last time you followed through with that excitement and went out of your way to buy a ticket without even knowing if the festival was any good? We’re going to guess not very often. Left of the Dial will change your mind this weekend, taking place in various venues across the centre of Rotterdam. The inaugural edition of this cutting-edge bash will offer up some of the most intriguing post-punk, indie, garage and shoegaze around today, including the likes of Paul Cherry, Bad Breeding and Crows. But where should you go if you really want to ensure a successful weekend in Rotterdam? Below you’ll hear five songs from the five acts we believe are worth your time at Left of the Dial. Other than that, the decision is up to you. Just make sure it’s the right one.
PAUL CHERRY – LIKE YESTERDAY
BAD BREEDING – BURN THIS FLAG
CHARLIE & THE LESBIANS – HATING MY LIFE
