Are raves a thing anymore? The days where you’d camp out in a sweaty and disintegrating warehouse somewhere near Bolton may be long gone, yet its free-spirited, soft drug-addled vibe still lives on in all corners of the world and in all shapes and sizes. Yesterday, DJs Marshmello and Zedd took their EDM-lite sets to a packed out Indianapolis Motor Speedway Snake Pit as part of this year’s 101st Indy 500, proving that the spirit which used to surround rave culture is still alive and well within the confines of the (sometimes questionable) EDM scene.
