“Safe. Positive. Fun. Energetic.” These are just four words which were used to describe this year’s mammoth edition of Bonnaroo, a festival which has long been one of America’s sleeping giants when it comes to the mass marketed world of live music. Much like Glastonbury, Bonnaroo is the kind of event which breeds a culture of positivity and vibrance, forming a dedicated cult following whilst pulling some of music’s biggest names. This year, the Manchester, TN bash drew in the larger than life likes of Eminem, Muse and The Killers atop its bill, alongside a mouthwatering undercard which included Alt-J, Jungle, Paramore and Anderson .Paak. Christian Sarkine descended upon the farm to capture all of the best proceedings, being wished “Happy roo!” countless times by ecstatic visitors in the process. Here’s what he got up to.
