It seems to be the case that Queens of the Stone Age have completed work on their new record.

The follow-up to 2013’s Like Clockwork is due this year, and accompanies a host of festival shows Josh Homme and co. will play this year, including an Aussie headline set at Splendour in the Grass.

In an interview with Dean Delray, Stone Age collaborator Mark Lanegan confirmed that the band had just completed work on the record, and that he was dying to hear it despite not appearing on any tracks this time round.

More news surrounding the album is yet to be announced, but it’s expected soon.
