Rammstein to Headline Pinkpop 2016?

Various rumours from within camp Rammstein are leading us to believe that the German metal giants will headline Pinkpop Festival next year. According to RammsteinWorld.com, the band will also headline a selection of other festivals in Europe next year.

The Till Lindemann-fronted sextet have been off the radar for a while now, with 2016 set to be their big comeback year. Although the band have not confirmed (or denied) anything themselves, a number of reliable sources have reported news of European festival dates in 2016.

Last night (19 October), fan club website RammsteinWorld.com reported on Facebook that the band would headline two festivals in early June, namely Pinkpop Festival and the brand new Paris leg of Download Festival. Tonight, the latter festival will be announcing its second UK headliner, which was set to be Rammstein until news of Download Paris arose. Right now, a majority of fans are speculating that either Bring Me the Horizon or Biffy Clyro will step up to the plate.

Pinkpop Festival have made no announcement yet, although that looks set to change over the next couple of months. Other bands tipped to headline the Landgraaf bash include a returning Foo Fighters, Editors and Pearl Jam.
