We’re excited to be hosting the Dutch premiere of upcoming Italian outfit Sunday Morning‘s new single, Ask the Magician!
The track is taken from the band’s upcoming new album Let it Burn, which comes out on 7 November via Bronson Recordings (pre-order it here).
The bold and brief first single, Ask The Magician, was written from the perspective of an illusionist who spends his days pulling rabbits out of hats and sawing women in half, and draws musical inspiration from the likes of Big Star and Dinosaur Jr.
“Although it might not be evident from first listen, this track is lyrically connected with the narrative theme of Let It Burn,” explains guitarist Luca Galassi. “In fact, the magician in this song is talking to another man; a man that’s unsatisfied with his life, that doesn’t recognize himself anymore. He’s lost his faith and is searching for something to believe in, which is why he turns to magic.”
