Every so often, a band comes along whose sonic output is so vast and expansive that it warrants a visual accompaniment on an equally great scale. On the second – and final – day of Amsterdam’s London Calling, this proved to be Epping Forest’s Leaf Label signees Snapped Ankles, who treated the Paradiso’s intimate small room to a show of galactic proportions. Standing out elsewhere were the intricate Bodega, Aussie indie slackers Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and vocalist Snail Mail. Susana Martins was present for the duration of the night.
