The 1975 Make Live Return

Mancunian four-piece The 1975 this week made their live return, taking to Liverpool’s Mountford Hall for their first show since January. The band are currently promoting upcoming sophomore album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, having recently unveiled lead single Love Me.

The band, fronted by Matt Healy, peformed a total of 5 new songs during this week’s Liverpool show, with their stage backdrop now bathed in pink, as opposed to the commonplace monochrome colour scheme they applied to their artwork. The 5 new songs performed, alongside Love Me, go by the names of The Sound, Change of Heart, She’s American and Somebody Else.

The band’s second album was recorded in Los Angeles, with Healy telling interviewers earlier this year that the aim was to have fun and make a proper pop record. The quartet are currently on tour throughout the UK, having played Leeds’ De Montfort Hall last night. New album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It is slated for a February 2016 release. Listen to Love Me below.
