The ever-surprising Prince has announced that he will be touring the UK and Europe all by himself, with only a piano to back him.
The announcement was made by The Guardian, who confirmed that details of the tour were made during a small press conference. The tour will go by the name
“The Prince Spotlight: Piano & A Microphone”, and is set to start later this month. Four dates across the UK have been billed, with a handful more across Europe also yet to be confirmed.
The whole tour will see Prince all by himself onstage, accompanied solely by a piano. In a tweet posted by the artist, he states that he “rarely gets bad reviews, because this is something that’s been perfected for over thirty years.” Whether or not Prince’s mini-tour will hit the Benelux region remains to be seen, however a show at Amsterdam’s Carre theatre has been rumoured.
