The ALBUM OF THE YEAR – Part 1, 50-41

It’s that time of year again. After eleven months of stellar releases, sublime comebacks and surprise stars, it’s time to take a look at the fifty records which we believe are the year’s best. It’s always difficult compiling a list which many feel is subject to personal opinion, so this year we’ve shaken up our categorisation and scoring process in order to present you with the most neutrally balanced Top 50 possible. Another thing we’re shaking up this year is the explanation process behind each placement. Instead of give you a whole paragraph explaining why we’ve made a particular choice, we’re going to leave you with each respective record’s key song. Let the music, and nothing else, do the explaining. Today we kick off our countdown with the first ten albums, namely those who hold the positions 41 through to 50.
