V2 Records’ product manager, Arnoud van der Toorn, has passed away.
Van der Toorn (48) was a prominent figure in the Dutch music industry, with his sudden passing coming as a shock to many.
He was largely behind the successes of Dutch punk legends John Coffey, as well as rising stars EUT and a whole selection of other Dutch artists. He had worked for V2 since 2002, working his way up to the role of senior product manager and leaving an impressive mark on the Dutch music industry.
In a statement, V2 Records said: “We have no words to describe the sudden loss of our dear friend and colleague, Arnoud van der Toorn. He was a colleague with endless love for music, and he was always involved. Our thoughts go out to his family.”
Here at All Things Loud we would like to send our deepest condolences to all of Arnoud’s family, friends and industry colleagues. He will be sorely missed.
