The Downs returned to a politically charged Clifton Down park in Bristol at the weekend, engulfing the centre of the picturesque British city with some of today’s best rock, soul and RnB. With a line-up that featured local legends IDLES, post punk monsters Fontaines D.C. and the iconic Ms Lauryn Hill, it turned out to be a surefire success. Judith Zandwijk checked it out.
