St Albans’ very own Enter Shikari have announced that they’ll be bringing the 10th anniversary of debut album Take to the Skies to Europe!
The Rou Reynolds-fronted quartet initially announced a string of UK and Eastern European dates (including headline slots at Slam Dunk Festival) in celebration of the album, with a European tour now pencilled in for May.
The list of shows includes a huge date at Utrecht’s TivoliVredenburg on Friday, 12 May, which we’ll be telling you more about soon. Check out the tour poster below for a full list of dates.
Speaking of the run, frontman Reynolds said: “We’ll never write another album like Take To The Skies, as Enter Shikari isn’t really a band that looks backwards, but to be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of our debut album feels insane. It’s going to be a celebration of that album but it’s not going to be the clichéd “play the album front-to-back”, but as this is a special occasion, it’s important for us to recognise the importance of this album to us, and for the family of people who have supported us since those early days. On a purely selfish note, I cannot wait to play some of the tracks we haven’t played since 2007, or even ever! The fact that we get to reminisce and relive tracks we recorded so long ago, and that are still held dear by so many, is something I could have never anticipated back then and fills me with appreciation for everyone that has supported this band over the years”.
Tickets for the tour are on sale NOW, and you can get them here. You can stream Take to the Skies below.
