The German leg of Lollapalooza, Lollapalooza Berlin, has been plagued with logistical trouble over the years. Its first edition, which took place at Tempelhof Airfield, required relocation following the discovery of WWII bombs, with 2016’s follow-up receiving public criticism for its extremely central Treptower Park location. Its third year took place on a difficult-to-reach racecourse miles out of the city, with organisers finally striking gold in 2018 when they hosted the mammoth festival at the city’s Olympiastadion. The festival returned to the same location this year, boasting a line-up which features the likes of twenty one pilots, Billie Eilish and Kings of Leon. Marc Prodanovic spent the weekend in Berlin capturing the best of what Lollapalooza had to offer.
