Slipknot have confirmed the release date of their hotly anticipated new album.
Corey Taylor and co. will put out the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter on 9 August via Roadrunner Records, marking the start of a brand new era for the masked men.
News of the release accompanies the announcement of a US summer tour entitled the Knotfest Roadshow, with a homecoming show in Des Moines, IO slated for one day after release. Support on the tour comes from Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth; details here.
Late last year the band unveiled comeback single All Out Life, a five minute battering ram of fearful riffs, pounding percussion and Taylor’s memorable snarl. Check out the official video below.
