East of downtown Austin at Hotel Vegas during the first day of SXSW, a band called Squid played in a large outdoor. The five piece hail from Brighton and London, and in addition to guitar, bass, drum, and vocals throw a few horns, cowbells, and a triangle into the mix. Their music is arty and post-punky, and if you’re a fan of bands like Omni (one of our favourite acts from SXSW last year), we recommend you give Squid a try- start with Dial.
