We’re extremely excited to announce that All Things Loud has today (1 April) acquired Dutch music blog Louder Than Words in a deal worth one million euros.
The news comes on the same day that All Things Loud’s status as leading alternative music website in the Benelux region is cemented, with previous market leaders DutchScene officially having called it a day. You may recall that a large chunk of DutchScene’s team has also been acquired by All Things Loud in recent weeks. The new team members form an integral part of All Things Loud’s mission plan and future growth.
Louder Than Words co-founder Irene Theunissen had the following to say about the news: “I’m extremely excited to give up all of my creative freedom to All Things Loud and join their ever-growing musical family. It’s long been a dream of us all to join such a renowned organization, and today that dream comes true. It’s not exactly Rock Sound, but it’s a start.” Fellow team member Jason Schouwenaars added the following: “When you join a music website, the aim is to continually grow and increase in size. By joining All Things Loud, we’re excited to finally do that and take a big leap forward in our collective careers”.
Full details of the acquisition are still somewhat under wraps, however the first port of call will entail reintegrating members of Louder Than Words’ writing team into the All Things Loud system. More to follow.
