Dutch indie outfit Walden have won the annual Nu of Nooit competition.
The local quartet took home the prize following a hotly contested evening of music at the Volt in Sittard, which has resulted in them gaining a slot on the Pinkpop Festival line-up alongside a cash prize.
They’re the fourth name to be announced for the festival, following on from headliners Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars.
Walden’s victory sees them follow in the footsteps of previous winners Les Djinns, Storksky and The Ten Bells.
