Ghost have made their live stage comeback.
The Swedish collective unveiled their brand new, eight-headed line-up last night at Hollywood’s Roxy, with frontman Cardinal Copia unleashing himself upon the crowd for his debut performance since taking over from Papa Emeritus III.
Over the course of ten songs, Copia and co. teased new album Prequelle, performing four new songs: lead single Rats, the childlike intro Ashes, disco-infused Dance Macabre and heavy Faith. They also treated the crowd to a handful of fan favourites, including Cirice, Stand By Him and pompous set closer Square Hammer.
The band’s Hollywood show was an extremely intimate affair, with tickets going on sale the same day at a special pop-up store. Each ticket cost $6.66, with only 500 available for purchase. The show served as the unofficial tour kick off for Ghost’s Rats on the Road US run, which continues this weekend.
Watch full recordings of every new song below. Prequelle is due on 1 June via Loma Vista Recordings.
UPDATE: During the second show of the tour, the band performed two additional new songs – Pro Memoria and Miasma. They have been added to the video thread below.
