You read that right, it’s finally happened: Tool have unveiled new music.
During their live return at Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, FL, Maynard James Keenan and co. performed two brand new tracks in their entirety for a baying festival crowd.
Descending and Invincible are the first pieces of new music to be shared by the band since the release of acclaimed album 10,000 Days back in 2006. They’re set to form out part of the band’s brand new studio recording, which is due in the first half of summer.
Studio versions of both songs are expected to come out in due course, with Tool currently on the road in America before hitting Europe’s biggest festival main stages across June and July. You can check out fan-filmed footage of both new songs below, and you won’t be disappointed.
