The rise of Babymetal has long been an interesting phenomenon within the world of metal and hard rock. The Japanese outfit seem to have become the marmite of the genre, with people either loving them for their modern fusion of heavy metal and J-Pop, or simply disliking them. Yesterday, the elusive outfit took their highly enthralling live show to Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH, proving in the process that the general American consensus of their music leans heavily towards overwhelming love. Crowds showed up in their droves for the band’s set on the Zippo Encore Stage, and below are 18 pictures of them doing their thing. Shot by Christian Sarkine.
Check back later today for full coverage of the final day of Rock on the Range, featuring We Came As Romans, Stone Temple Pilots and Code Orange.
