Virtual icons Gorillaz have unveiled the latest track from their brand new Song Machine project.
Aries is a collaboration with iconic bassist Peter Hook and pop vocalist Georgia, and it’s a mid-tempo slice of summery yacht rock infused with wavy synths and a catchy bass line from Hook.
As per a press release, Song Machine is a “cartoon music contraption from 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel which spits out brand new episodes fresh from the studio, as and when they happen“. The frequency of the episodes, as well as future collaborators, is still under wraps. The second instalment of the series – Desolé – featured Fatoumata Diawara.
