Last night, Sheffield hellraisers Bring Me the Horizon treated a packed out Egyptian Room in the heart of Indianapolis to cuts from new studio album amo. The new record serves as somewhat of a sonic shift for the Sheffield quintet, whose career has taken more musical left terms than the average chameleon changes its colours. The one constant, though, is an absolutely incredible live show which serves as testament to their powerful and incendiary back catalogue. Compared to February’s initial US tour, this current spring run truly is a step up. The band have ditched the sparseness of last year’s UK and European tour in favour of big screens, co-ordinated outfits, dancers and the like. And you know what? It’s fucking brilliant. Wednesday’s stop in Indianapolis featured music from across the band’s career, with a predominant focus on amo, 2015’s That’s the Spirit and career-defining magnum opus Sempiternal. Christian Sarkine captured what went down.
